Histórico:
Desde o ensino médio em ciências sociais
e artes cênicas que fiz na Suécia, estive
entre as apresentacões acadêmicas e as
apresentacões artísticas.
O gosto por ciências sociais direcionou-me à
graducão em Antropologia Social, a qual finalizei
em 1997, na Universidade de Estocolmo, Suécia.
A participacão observacional e o convívio
com outras culturas me atraíram no trabalho de
antropólogo. Um pouco distante disso, meu interesse
em artes cênicas levou-me a cursar dois anos de
teatro e a trabalhar como ator.
Uni estes meus dois interesses realizando um mestrado
em Antropologia Visual (Universidade de Manchester-2001)
e consegui levar para fora do meio acadêmico,
através do cinema, as informações
culturais obtidas por meio da antropologia.
Trabalho como ator, e também como cineasta de
filmes digitais. Desde 2002 eu apresento palestras sobre
antropologia visual, artes cênicas e cinema em
várias universidades da Europa e da América
Latina.
Em 2003 criei a empresa fatoficção.se
para colocar sob o mesmo "teto" minhas diferentes
esperiências em etnografia, cinema e artes cênicas.
Desde 2004 faço um doutorado com fundamentos
práticos sobre etnoficção, um gênero
de filmes etnográficos, no departamento de cinema
e artes cênicas da Universidade de Manchester.
O resultado disso virá em 2007 na forma de uma
tese de doutorado e dois filmes.
Cartaz do 25 Festival Internacional de Filmes Etnográficos
do Museo Etnográfico de Estocolmo do NAFA (Nordic
Anthropological Film Association) do qual fui co-organizador
em maio de 2005.
